Strollers at Disney

Many guests wonder if they should bring a stroller to Disney World. If you want to save a little money on your trip, bring your own stroller instead of renting. For a week stay, you can save $70 (for a single stroller) or $126 (for a double stroller). For these costs, you can buy a brand new "top of the line" stroller at home and still save money!

Stoller rentals are only available at the Disney Theme Parks and Downtown Disney. If you are planning on spending some time at your Disney Resort, around Orlando, Disney's Boardwalk Area, Wide World or Sports, or even the Waterparks you may want to bring your own stroller to get the kids around since these locations do not have stroller rentals. One more plus with bringing your own stroller, it is always easier to spot your own stroller at an attraction than finding your stroller among 20 Disney strollers.

If you do decide to rent a single or double stroller during your visit, be sure to pay for a length of stay stroller. On the first day you rent a stroller ask the Disney Cast Member (at the stroller rental) about the length of stay offer. You will pre-pay for your entire stroller rental for your visit. There is a discount saving you a little money on your rental. The single stroller rental is $8 per day (saving you $2 per day) and the double stroller rental is $18 per day (saving you $2 per day). This can add up quickly! Be sure to ask about this discount. If you do rent a stroller, bring some bright color ribbon or string to tie to your stroller. This will save you some time trying to find your stroller among the other Disney strollers.

Disney's Boardwalk Resort Area

If you are ready for some nightlife "Disney style" head to Disney's Boardwalk Resort Area instead of Pleasure Island. Disney's Boardwalk Area is a leisure walk from Epcot or a quick watertaxi ride from Disney-MGM Studios. Anywhere else you can take the Disney Motorcoach Transportation.

Disney's Boardwalk Area has nightly entertainment right along the boardwalk including performers, games, and you can even watch some of the IllumiNations Show at Epcot. There are great restaurants along the boardwalk like Spoodles, Flying Fish, and Big River Grille and Brewing Works. When it gets a little later, you can hit the ESPN Club, Atlantic Dance Company, or Jellyrolls for more entertainment. The Atlantic Dance Company is free - no cover charge and Jellyrolls is $10 per person. Pleasure Island is twice that price at $21.95 per person plus tax. Book the Free Dining Early with a Disney Visa

If you have a Disney Visa Card, you can start booking the Magic Your Way Package with Free Dining (also called Stay, Play & Dine Package) today, April 9. You do have to pay for your entire vacation on your Disney Visa Card. This discount package is available for vacations between August 26-September 22. This package includes your room accommodations at a Disney Resort, tickets, and free Dining Plan (1 sit down meal, 1 counter service meal, and 1 snack per person per night on your package). Call 407-W-DISNEY and ask for rate code ZHQ to book this package. This same package will be available for booking for everyone else on April 12.

Free Dining at Disney World

Our favorite discount package for Disney World is about to kick off! Many people have been talking about this discount package for months but we got the information first. The package is confirmed to kick off this April 12 for the free dining if you visit in late August-September of this year. This package is called the September Magic Your Way Package plus Dining or Stay, Play & Dine. This includes (1) sit down meal, (1) counter service meal, and (1) snack per person per night of your package. These meals are free. Your family will save hundreds of dollars on your meals at Disney World with this promotion. You can call Disney at 407-W-DISNEY on April 12 to start booking this package. The rate code is not official yet but you can ask for the discount September Magic Your Way Package and the agents will know what that is. You do not need the rate code.
