Swim with Dolphins

Many guests come to Disney World to visit Mickey Mouse. However, while you are in sunny Florida you may want to experience the excitement of swimming with dolphins. Disney offers the Dolphins in Depth tour which is an experience at Epcot in The Seas. This is a fun experience but you are only in waist deep water and it is quite expensive ($150 per person). Kids must also be at least 13 years old.

The other dolphin experience right in Orlando is the Discovery Cove attraction near Sea World. This is an amazing attraction where you get to swim with dolphins, rays, and other tropical fish. This is an all day attraction including your lunch but it is also much more expensive. This attraction is $279 per person plus tax during summer months. You can take advantage of some promotions saving you $20 here and there but it is still quite expensive. For this experience, you do get 30 minutes of swimming time with a dolphin. This experience is for anyone 6 and older.

These two experiences are wonderful but if you are driving down to Orlando, you may want to try Marineland instead for your dolphin swim or experience. Marineland is located in St. Augustine about 2 hours from Orlando right off of I-95. Marineland is the world's first oceanarium and offers several dolphin programs for kids to adults. Prices start from just $65 per person for the Flippers and Fins Program. Marineland offers a program called The Immersion for just $15 more than Disney's Dolphins in Depth tour. The Immersion Program allows you time to play with the dolphins in shallow water and then swim with them in deep water. It is a much better experience than the Dolphins in Depth Tour for about the same price. There are lots of other experiences that are less money that even the little kids can enjoy.
